cool day

i prefer cool to sexy. it's just more me. so i combated the long black dress with a fun funky ensemble. black satin "genie" pants, shirt by borders & frontiers (found on a blog), cotton socks from marshall's for $1, my FAVORITE shoes ever, loeffler randall, 5 bills. i call them that because they were $500. but i got a discount, of course. they are comfy and fabulous. 3 years old and still the best. a chan luu leather wrap bracelet, adding a little hippie to the mix, and an Hermes ribbon tied around my wrist,a friendship bracelet from my BFF mitch, who is moving back to NYC :(
also my newest find, a michele diamond watch ( i love a little W.A.S.P. now and then) found on ebay for a steal. yay!

write up in the orlando sentinel

woo! i made the O-town paper blog. ha. man i'm famous now!

Snapped! at Orlando Ballet post-season party

The beauty of this outfit is its appropriateness. Worn to a party honoring the Orlando Ballet's dancers, it looks a little like a ballerina costume with its draped neckline, swirling skirt and revamped ballet slippers. A charming choice. Who: Charity de Meer, photographer. I'm wearing: Gary Graham dress, underskirt and crinoline. He is a costume designer in New York. Real ballet shoes remade with silver studs from My style: Quirky. Wardrobe essentials: My wardrobe is always changing. I recycle stuff on eBay. Fashion pet peeve: Blindly following every trend whether it suits you or not.

today is my day off so i'm rehashing an old outfit. no harm in that, eh? walter satin top with big tie sash in back, fave leopard autumn cashmere cardi (really goes with everything!), big ole teal wide leg velvet pants from TARGET! yes. so unbelievable. i think they were $20. i can't remember which designer but it was a girl who was blonde and petite, like alice in wonderland. shoes are leopard marc jacobs from ebay. the kicker is the beaded belt by gary graham. the most expensive thing in the whole shot! he is my FAVORITE thing. ahhh gary graham. really. it's often called my "wonder woman" belt. and that's fine.
