Actually no, I just saw these and loved them. I have no idea why I am drawn to guns and knives and bones and dead animals. I am a happy normal person. But I love this imagery.
Go figure. I got a lot of stares today in the Met, and the guard thought it was a tattoo.
I told him, no, that would be my sister.
Something borrowed & blue! No, thank God I'm not getting married again, it's just I borrowed a blue jacket from my hairdresser, and it came out.
D&G baby blue tuxedo jacket
Gary Graham plaid wool shorts
Jil Sander for Uniqlo white shirt
Tights from China (where else?)

Gangstress
Dries, Chanel, and ...... N.W.A....
Yep that's how I roll. My OG friend called me a Gangstress today.
Is that like a lady gangsta? I like it. I'm not quite a lady, not quite a gangsta...
But Gangstress? Mos Def....
To prove it, I was in line at the Met coat check when this 80 year old man tapped me and said "That coat is fabulous." I smiled and thanked him. He turned around and then tapped me again, shook his head and said, "I mean, hot damn!"
Kinda awesome.
Almost as awesome as the photo by Helena Gouros.

today is my day off so i'm rehashing an old outfit. no harm in that, eh? walter satin top with big tie sash in back, fave leopard autumn cashmere cardi (really goes with everything!), big ole teal wide leg velvet pants from TARGET! yes. so unbelievable. i think they were $20. i can't remember which designer but it was a girl who was blonde and petite, like alice in wonderland. shoes are leopard marc jacobs from ebay. the kicker is the beaded belt by gary graham. the most expensive thing in the whole shot! he is my FAVORITE thing. ahhh gary graham. really. it's often called my "wonder woman" belt. and that's fine.
